Prego car seats are crash tested to meet or exceed European safety regulations ECE R44 and CTA approval.

ECE R44/04 is a safety standard under the United Nation law and the guideline is adopted in Malaysia together with R129 standard (known as I-size which is a newer regulation).

You will find an orange label printed on our car seats and it is an approval label guarantees that the car seat complies with the basic safety requirements as set out in the ECE R44. In addition, you will find MIROS QR label as an approval by the road transport department in Malaysia (JPJ).

Convertible Car Seat

Can be used rear and forward facing, means they can use longer than an infant carrier car seat. ECE R44 car seats are divided into groups to fit different sized children. They are specified in weight and height limit. Parents must choose the right car seat to fit their children. Bear in mind that from Jan 2020, Malaysia car seat’s law required children who weigh under 36kg or 135cm tall to use car seat.
